Our Vision ACF Missions, Inc. has a passion to be a voice for the many Unreached People Groups in Africa and to call the Church in Africa to action in winning these people to Christ. We encourage missionaries who serve among Unreached Peoples. We want to be God's heart, His hands, and His feet extended to meet pressing needs in Africa. The Child Sponsorship Program is one of our initiatives aimed at making a difference in Africa.
Our Objectives The objective of the Child Sponsorship Program is to give an opportunity to every beneficiary to reach their full God-given potential with the goal of raising future godly leaders, missionaries, and highly motivated professionals in critical fields for the development of the country.
In 2004 , an estimated 3.1 million people in the region became newly infected, while 2.3 million died of AIDS. As the most ignored victims of the AIDS pandemic, orphans will become a time bomb in Africa unless something is done urgently! AIDS is leaving a generation of orphans in Africa, particularly in Uganda, which has over 2 million orphans. These children have been left to care for themselves and many have been forced to drop out of school. Without an education, these children, and the generations beyond them, have little hope for a better future. In the past five years, ACF Missions have been providing a Christian response to the problem of AIDS in Uganda through our program, to help the Children of Uganda reach their full potential. Your gift of $30 a month will pay for school fees, uniforms, meals, and medical care so an orphan can look forward to a brighter future. You can impact Africa, One Child at a time!
Our goal is to respond to the spiritual, emotional, educational, and physical needs of the most vulnerable children. The Child Sponsorship Program of Uganda Hope provides an opportunity for individuals to invest their prayers and finances in the life of a child, who otherwise would not have the opportunity for a bright future.
Scope of the Program The program caters for the most vulnerable children in primary and secondary schools in the Kabarole and Kumi Districts of Uganda. Post secondary school children are considered on a case-by-case basis in line with established selection criteria. All secondary school children are placed in top ranking boarding schools in the district. Our selection criteria require that beneficiaries must be orphans and/or be very vulnerable, should have no living relatives able to care for them and no other source of sponsorship such as inheritance, donation, or NGOs.
ACF Missions, Inc. works with nationals on the ground to motivate the children for academic excellence and to become godly citizens and leaders in their community. We monitor the implementation of the program and its impact on the beneficiaries and their families. We encourage Sponsors to communicate directly with their sponsored children as often as they desire. Each Sponsor receives a feedback form their child through our standard Feedback Form as well as an annual progress report on the child.
How much of my money goes toward administrative costs? NONE!
ACF Missions Inc. volunteers and leaders do not derive personal financial benefit from their work for the Lord through the agency. As a result, administrative costs are kept to the minimum, thus allowing us to pass on 100% of designated support directly to the beneficiaries. Therefore your $30 monthly gift goes directly to benefit your child. All gifts are tax-deductible. The financial reports of ACF Missions, Inc. activities are available at your request.
How Do I get started? As a sponsor, you are linked with one name, write to you, and treasure the very thought that you care. Many children trapped in poverty feel unloved and worthless. Your letters, photos, and prayers will mean more than you can possibly imagine. Being a sponsor will profoundly change the future for your child --- and will change your life in the process. When we receive your Sign Up information, you will be sent a Sponsorship Package that will include a photograph of your sponsored Child and a brief background. At the end of each school term, you will receive a report on your Child's progress during the year.
